A Step-by-Step Guide to:

Creating a Support Worker Profile on the mobility App

Looking for opportunities in healthcare? Join mobility for support worker jobs, including opportunities for assistants in nursing, enrolled nurses, registered nurses, personal care workers, cleaners, gardeners and more.

Whether you're interested in aged care, disability support, homecare jobs, or allied health jobs, we're here to guide you on how to become an independant support worker with us.

Follow these simple steps to create your profile:

Download the mobility app and select “Create new account”. 

You’ll then be prompted to share your best contact information and to create a password, this should
be something you’ll easily remember, have a minimum of 10 characters and include:

  • a lowercase letter
  • a uppercase letter
  • a number
  • a symbol
Now you’ll need to select your profile type: “I’m a Worker”

Now we’ll need your personal contact info such as:

  1. full name
  2. gender you identify as
  3. date of birth
  4. addres at this step you’ll be asked to enable locations services please select yes as you’ll need this to clock in and out of shifts
  5. and who we should contact in an emergncy

We automatically fill this as 24 hours every day, that way you’ll see all opportunites including overnights.

  • Edit your availability by selecting the start or end time and swiping up or down to set your preferred times.
  • If your available from 7AM -12PM, but also have availability later in the day from 5PM. Select the green Add at the bottom and then the day and times you’re available.
  • Alternatively, you can delete the entire day by selecting the bin icon.

Now we’ll need to find out a bit more about you: 

  • Select your work rights from the dropdown list. You must have Australian Work Rights to continue.
  • Let us know you’re travel preferences
  • Select the checkboxes that match your qualifications
  • Lastly we’ll need your Australian Business Number (ABN). Learn more about ABN here.

Provide the contact details of two references:

  1. You’ll need at lease one reference that is relevant to your work history.
  2. And if you don’t have another work reference you can provide us with a personal reference.

 

Selecting a great profile picture

  • Ensure it’s professional, well-lit, and without filters, hats, or sunglasses (unless for cultural or medical reasons).
  • Choose a recent photo of yourself that clearly shows your face. Avoid group photos or pictures with other people.
  • Make sure the photo is not blurry and is of good quality.
  • Avoid using filters or editing your photo, as this can  make it difficult to recognize you in person.

    Privacy Note: While we encourage you to share about yourself in your bio, please avoid including any personally identifiable information like your full name, age, or contact details. Your privacy is important to us. To understand how we handle your information, you can read our Privacy Policy.

  • This helps us match you to opportunties where your language skills could be in high demand.
  • Addtionally, some of our clients think it’s nice to have  support workers who share similar interests to them.

To get your application verified we’ll need you to upload the following:

  • Proof of identity (Government ID: Passport, Birth Certificate or Drivers Licence),
  • A valid police check from within the last 3 months,
  • Any relevant trainings and certifications,
  • Your proof of vaccination documentation,
  • And any other relevant documentation for the support services you would like to offer.
